Dr. Celma Issufo: Pioneering Women in Reconstructive Surgery

Dr. Issufo is the plastic surgery service director at Mozambique’s Maputo Central Hospital. She treats a full range of reconstructive plastic surgical cases but has a particular interest in both acute burn care, and burn reconstruction. She earned her medical degree from Eduardo Mondlane University, and did her residency in plastic surgery at Maputo Central Hospital in collaboration with the clinical hospital of Valencia in Spain.
