Together, We Transform Lives through Reconstructive Surgery
We envision a world where safe, timely, and affordable reconstructive surgical care is accessible to all.
Our mission is to build, scale, and sustain reconstructive surgical capacity to provide life-changing care to those with the greatest need.
As our organization grows, so does our vision for serving the world.
Since 1969, ReSurge has been at the forefront of the global surgery movement.
We began as a grassroots organization of medical professionals focused on traveling to low-income countries and serving people with cleft lips and palates. Witnessing the vast need for reconstructive surgery, we quickly broadened our range of assistance to a full scope of surgical solutions, including reconstruction from burns, road traffic accidents, cancers, and other congenital conditions.
We started with one patient and one life-changing reconstructive surgery. Today, we are pioneering a sustainable training model for surgeons in low-income countries around the world. We are proud to provide care and training in eighteen low-income countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
