Assistant Director of Foundation & Corporate Partnerships
The Assistant Director of Foundation & Corporate Partnerships will work with ReSurge's Chief Development Officer to develop, implement and manage an aggressive plan to secure and grow funding from foundations and corporations. ReSurge's current operating cash budget is $4 million. The goal for foundation and corporate donors in FY14-15 is $1.5M.
The Assistant Director must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational abilities and a careful attention to detail. This position may have the opportunity for some international and national travel. This is a full-time exempt position with competitive benefits.

Work with Chief Development Officer, Communications and Program staff to strategize, develop and submit compelling proposals and reports to current and prospective funders â€“ foundation, corporate and government as appropriate.
Maintain and grow current foundation and corporate grants portfolio of approximately 50 funders.
Maintain accurate records in donor database and a calendar for all grant-related deliverables, including proposals and reports.
Research and identify grant opportunities.
Prepare and/or format budgets and financial reports.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of grant applications and reports where applicable.
Assist Chief Development Officer and Chief Financial Officer with ongoing monitoring of restricted grant funding and expenditures to ensure funder expectations and grant objectives are met.
Report regularly on goals, activities and follow-up.

Four or more years of post-college experience in fundraising, preferably focused on grant writing, or equivalent experience that is directly related or transferable.
Exceptional writing and communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Experience in coordinating, prioritizing and tracking multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and Google documents.
Familiarity with and strong experience using donor database programs and related software. ReSurge uses eTapestry to manage fundraising records.
Self-starter with a positive attitude and emotional maturity who functions well with minimum structure and supervision.
Sound judgment and the ability to represent ReSurge in a manner consistent with the organization's image and values.
Willingness to travel to occasionally meet with funders or participate on ReSurge trips and events around the US and/or internationally.
Bachelor's or higher level degree.
